The Word
Here is an excerpt from a recent FaceBook post from Jane Hansen Hoyt.
In Jerusalem in 2014, a man told me, "Prepare your ministry like the 5 virgins. The Body needs the foundation of the Word. We are in the time of temptation now. It is the strength of the Word that will enable My people to stand in the time to come. People don't know the Word."
At our 2015 International Conference in Indianapolis, Asher Inter said, "It is very important for us to read the Bible. Because we live in a day of smart phones, most have the Bible on a smart phone - you can pull it up and jump to a verse in a flash. Now that is nice if you are in the marketplace and you need to pull up a verse; but, you, also, have to read this Book every single day in a consistent fashion from beginning to end. You need to know what the plan of God is. You need to be sure of it because Jesus said, 'In the end times, there will be a problem of deception.' You have to know what this Word says and that does not come from pulling up a verse here and there on your smart phone. It comes from reading this Book every single day in a consistent manner so that you know what is in this Book from beginning to end."
I'm imploring you to read the Word.
- Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
- For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
- Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11

Prophetic Declarations
From the moment they are spoken, prophetic words belong to us and must become as real in our hearts as they are in the heart of God. As the prophetic word is spoken, see God standing in the future, speaking back to you in the present. He is telling you who you are becoming. Be encouraged!
Here are some key words Chuck Pierce brought to Aglow Int’l at a recent conference. Declare these words daily over yourself and over Aglow International
- God has need of your voice.
- I’m going to start drawing out of My people what I put into you and it will produce healing, breakthrough, and power.
- The real war has been over our new identity for the future.
- Stay in the abiding place.
- The mission of Aglow was to raise up a troop and God has need of this troop.
- God has need of the word He has planted in Aglow for the past 57 years.
Surrounding the Nations in Prayer
Israel and Surrounding Nations
(These requests are adapted from those sent from Betty Intrater of Tikkun.)
- Hostages - Pray for the hostages as they are being released. Pray for their healing physically, spiritually, and emotionally as they process the trauma they have experienced. Pray that all remaining hostages including the bodies of those who have been killed to be released.
- Syrian border - The new presidential leader is a former ISIS terrorist. Israel is presently 'occupying' the Syrian side of the Golan Heights which is a crucial security position. Pray for wisdom on how Israel is to proceed with the new Syria.
- Lebanon - Pray for the newly elected Christian president of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, that he will continue to gain control over the country and succeed in disarming Hezbollah. Pray for strength for the believing community in Lebanon.
- Gaza - Pray for the right decisions for the future of the Gaza Strip
- Pray for correct strategy for the Judea and Samaria territories, the new hot spot for terrorism in the war within the borders of Israel. Pray against blind hatred which makes any attempt at negotiating impossible.
- Pray protection for our soldiers on all fronts. 'No weapon fashioned against you will prosper.' Also, against military accidents and 'friendly fire.'
- Pray for the displaced northern and southern residences to be able to return to their homes. Those going back are finding their homes and land in disarray and lack funds to do necessary renovations, including building proper bomb shelters.
- Pray for healing for our country, physically and emotionally. There are many wounded. All have been traumatized. Pray that this trauma will not lead to bitterness and depression, but rather to hope and salvation, to the Father of mercies, God of all comfort.
Accidents and Natural disasters
It seems there have been an unusual number of airplane accidents and natural disasters (fires, floods, et cetera) recently.
- Pray for air traffic controllers, pilots, ground crews, and mechanical functions of airplanes. Pray that any threat against air travel is exposed and thwarted.
- Pray for shalom upon the earth that the atmosphere is calm and non-conducive to disasters.
- Pray for people who have suffered from fires, floods, and other catastrophes as they recover from the trauma and rebuild their lives.
- I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Psalm 91:2
Summon the Nations!
Aglow International is called to take the Light of Jesus, bring hope, and build the Kingdom in all communities, cities, and nations.
Look! You will summon nations you’ve never heard of. Nations who have never heard of you will come running to follow you because Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, has glorified you. – Isaiah 55:5 TPT
Lord, release strength and courage to those who walk according to Yours ways in every nation — that remnant of Your goodness, those who abide in Your great Light even in the darkest nations of the earth.
These are the ones who carry the spiritual inheritance of their nations — they carry the deposit of Your glory laid from the foundations of the earth. Because they love You, You will deliver them from all evil.
You will set them securely on a high place because they know Your Name. As they call upon You — may they experience mighty encounters with Your goodness and glory. Answer them speedily — sing over Your people in the earth, announce Your kingdom through Your people, and testify of Your might through manifestations of Your miraculous power.

A Note and A Prayer
There is a lot of darkness in the world today. As intercessors, we are in constant prayer to push back the darkness from our nations, from our families, from our ministry with Aglow, and even from our own minds and hearts. While we know by faith that darkness cannot overtake the Light of Christ in us (John 1:5), sometimes we feel the oppressiveness of the darkness in the world or in the circumstances we face. Psalm 134:1-2 gives us a key that can really help us keep our perspective at times like that. This passage refers to those who are like intercessors on watch through the night. Notice this verse does not say the night watchmen go outside where they are surrounded by the darkness. Instead, through the darkest hours of night, they worship the Lord in His Sanctuary. So, what is the key? No matter how dark the world is or how glum your circumstances are, stay in the Light of His Presence and keep your eyes focused on worshipping the Lord. Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord (Psalm 134:1-2).
Lord, thank You for the vast army of Aglow intercessors You have called and equipped throughout the world. Thank You that each one carries such a brilliant Light of Your Presence that darkness simply cannot overtake them. Now, as they stand as watchmen in their nations, in Aglow, in their families, I ask that You overshadow them in the Presence and protection of Your great love and power. Strengthen them, heal them, resource them, and give them greater revelation of Who You are for them in the circumstances they are facing right now. In the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!
God bless you as you pray,
